In Brief:

    • Failure on the first day of the mission
    • Change of strategy and running out of fuel
    • The ICAPE Planète Bleue Foundation joins Aidocean
    • To join the mission at www.aidocean.org

Failure on the first couple of days of the Mission: Following two days of vaccination, Aidocean decides to completely review the strategy put in place by the local health authorities. “No one has been notified of our arrival and we are not going to wait for the news to spread,” comments the president of the mission Marine Bayer.

Change of strategy and running out of gas: The group slips up:  Sébastien and the two locals Jack and Tom, set out to scout the villages for the next three days. Unfortunately, a poor appreciation of distances makes them run out of fuel. They will return to the ship long after nightfall and the laughs of the rest of the team.

The results of this change of strategy are immediate and the team is overwhelmed by the 95 mothers who bring their children to be immunized the following day. ”Despite the shame of having run out of fuel, it was well worth the effort to send a team upstream. We’re going to continue on this path…and taking more fuel” smiles Sébastien.

The ICAPE Planète Bleue Foundation joins Aidocean: The purpose of the foundation is to carry out social, environmental, educational and humanitarian actions, in connection with the maritime world and the preservation of the oceans. ”The ICAPE PLANETE BLEUE Foundation is fully aware of the importance of these missions and our team has the ambition to work for the benefit of all, with the sea as a common denominator, this precious element at the origin of all Life form.”
