11 June 2022 – Preparation in Papua New Guinea
Marine is leaving for Papua New Guinea to meet with various individuals including French Ambassador in Port Moresby and representatives of the Health Authorities in Kavieng.
Marine, known for her sense of organisation, will also be undertaking the responsibility of visiting medical schools in New Ireland in order to select the nurses and doctors who will join the AidOcean team on the PNG Mission. The inclusion of locals on the team is one of Aidoceans main objectives, allowing the project to play a part supporting the local medical industry and contributing to the training of young health  professionals, hence leaving a lasting positive impact.
Whilst partially funded by the Pacific Fund, the sponsors of the PNG Mission are numerous, notably the Icape Planète Bleue Foundation. Companies or private individuals can also participate in the PNG Mission by making a tax-deductable donation to AidOcean (for example, a private donation of €1000 will in reality only cost €440 – 20% max of your income).
